Weather & Climate Forecast Conference 2026 June

Upcoming Event

Date: Wednesday, June 17, 2026 10:00 ~ 17:30 (Reception opens at 09:00) Venue: Tokyo International Forum, Hall D7 (3-5-1 Marunouchi, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo) Reception for this event will be held at D6. Please kindly proceed to the D6 reception desk upon arrival.

This conference serves as an international platform to realize the founding philosophy of the WNI WxBunka Foundation: developing meteorological infrastructure and advancing forecasting technologies across the Asia-Pacific region. At our inaugural conference in December 2025, we explored cutting-edge developments under the theme, "The New Value AI Brings to the Meteorological Industry." For this second edition, we are broadening our scope beyond technology to encompass society as a whole. As climate change drives increasingly severe natural disasters across Asia, a critical question emerges: how can we implement AI technologies in the real world to drive concrete disaster mitigation? Centered around Early Warning Systems (EWS), this conference will delve into the frontlines of implementation, where technology and society intersect. Through collaborative co-creation across industry, government, and academia, this event aims to chart a clear path from forecasting to action, ultimately building greater resilience throughout the Asian region.
