As of 09:00 JST on Friday, July 24, Typhoon NOUL (No. 12) is located east of the Philippines (18.0°N, 123.5°E), tracking westward at 15 knots. Central pressure is 996 hPa, with maximum sustained winds of 40 knots and gusts reaching 65 knots, according to the Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA) advisory issued at 09:40 JST.
Track Outlook
NOUL is forecast to track west-northwest while gradually intensifying as it passes north of Luzon. By the evening of July 24 through the early morning hours of July 25 (local time), the storm is expected to push into the northeastern South China Sea before curving toward the Guangdong–Fujian coastline.
Landfall is anticipated somewhere between Zhuhai (Guangdong) and Zhangpu (Fujian) between the evening of July 25 and the morning of July 26. After landfall, the system is expected to curve northward and steadily weaken.

Crosswind conditions are forecast to pick up during 0900–1800Z on July 25 and again during 1200–2300Z on July 26, with peak gusts reaching approximately 24 knots.
Macau International Airport (VMMC / MFM)
Winds are expected to be notably stronger during 1200–1800Z on July 25 and 0000–1200Z on July 26, with mean speeds around 20 knots and gusts up to approximately 30 knots. The July 26 window in particular is expected to bring a significant crosswind component.
