**Weathernews' Aviation Weather Business Division exhibited at the 4th Asia-Pacific Aviation Safety Summit (AP-SAS 2026), held August 4-6, 2026. **
AP-SAS brings together civil aviation authorities, airlines, and aviation-related companies from across the Asia-Pacific region to discuss improving aviation safety, boosting operational efficiency, and adopting the latest technologies. Exhibiting alongside some of Japan's leading aviation organizations, Weathernews showcased Japan-born safety technologies to a global audience and built new connections toward a global community for the aviation weather business.
Aviation Safety and Where Our Services Fit In
Aviation safety was the central theme of this year's summit, and the use of weather information drew strong interest as a key element supporting safe flight operations. Discussions were especially active around managing turbulence and making operational decisions ahead of the peak typhoon season.
Weathernews offers a range of aviation weather services, including turbulence and typhoon forecasting, and used the summit to show how these technologies can help support safer, more efficient flight operations.
A Dialogue with ICAO
During the summit, Weathernews held a meeting with Mr. Toshiyuki Ohnuma, President of the ICAO (International Civil Aviation Organization) Council. In the meeting, Weathernews shared its commitment to contributing to the global aviation industry through Japan-born safety technologies and exchanged views on future collaboration.

Weathernews was honored to co-exhibit with some of Japan's leading aviation and aerospace organizations, including the Japan Civil Aviation Bureau (JCAB), Japan Airlines (JAL), and the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA). We are deeply grateful for the opportunity to exhibit together. Sharing the booth with these partners helped draw a steady stream of visitors and created many valuable opportunities for exchange.
Through conversations with airlines, aviation authorities, and related companies from Japan and abroad, Weathernews also built new connections that will support future business opportunities.
